Why Toyota Hybrids are So Good

November 30th, 2021 by

Toyota hybrid vehicles are good – like really good. Not only are they efficient and reliable, but they keep value in mind. So many electric and hybrid vehicles are great cars but they are too pricey and complicated for the average driver. Toyota keeps their hybrid vehicles easy to use and widely available for the masses.

You have nothing to fear except keeping your wallet full when purchasing a Toyota hybrid. Not only are they incredibly efficient, but they are reliable so you don’t have to worry about throwing a ton of money at repairs. In fact, Toyota just increased their hybrid battery warranty. Model year 2020 and newer hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fuel cell electric vehicles come with a hybrid battery warranty covering 10 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Hybrid vehicles offer the best of both worlds when it comes to efficiency and performance. Typically, Toyota hybrid vehicles pair a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a hybrid battery powertrain to increase the performance and efficiency of the vehicle. This is done by the battery aiding in the engine’s power production. Most Toyota hybrids don’t require a plug. They regenerate energy and fill the battery back up by capturing energy from the braking system.

Toyota hybrid models include the Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Prius, RAV4, Sienna, Venza, and the all-new Tundra. If you want to extend your electrified journey, you can choose a plug-in hybrid that works just like the standard hybrid but has a larger battery paired with the gasoline motor for more electric driving. These plug-in hybrids are called the Prime models and there is currently a Prius Prime and RAV4 Prime available. In 2023, Toyota will launch their Beyond Zero lineup with the bZ4X as the first all-electric vehicle in the lineup.
