What is the Rebelle Rally?
At Landers Toyota in Little Rock, Arkansas, we love taking the road less traveled. And by that, we mean taking our vehicles off-road and putting them to the test! It’s an absolute blast to ride rough in a RAV4 or tackle tricky terrain in a Tacoma.

If you love off-roading as much as we do, you need to check out the Rebelle Rally. This women-only competition is one of the most unique off-roading events ever created, and is the longest competitive off-road rally in the United States.
The Rebelle Rally first revved its engines in 2015, founded by off-roading champion Emily Miller. Inspired to showcase the talent and triumph of women in the motorsports community, Miller created an exciting competition that quickly gained recognition.
More Extraordinary Women
What sets the Rebelle Rally apart is its unique focus on navigation rather than speed. This rally is not about being the fastest; it’s about precision and strategic decision-making. Over the course of eight days, teams of two navigate a challenging route across the vast deserts of California and Nevada. Armed with only a compass and map, competitors must rely on their navigational abilities to reach checkpoints scattered across the rugged landscape. Competitors are not allowed to use cell phones, GPS, or outside help of any kind.
Another unique element of the rally is that it does not allow major off-roading or racing modifications. Teams must compete with street-legal stock vehicles, meaning they are just like the ones on our lot! This rule was put in place to demonstrate the capabilities of regular 4-wheel drive vehicles, and manufacturers have jumped at this opportunity. Many major automotive companies sponsor and compete in the event, including Toyota. In fact, Toyota Motor North America has six teams competing in the 2023 event and is once again sponsoring the rally’s live webcast.

Not only does the Rebelle Rally highlight and empower incredible drivers, but it also has a powerful impact outside the competition. Proceeds are often donated in an effort to support women-owned businesses, the education of young girls, and environmental conservation. The rally raises funds for organizations like Heifer International, Innocence Project, and Rady Children’s Hospital. It also hosts a series of professional driving and navigation training courses titled “Rebelle U.” These courses are an excellent opportunity for those who are new to off-roading adventures and are interested in joining the community.
