Tokyo 2020 Olympics Wrap Up

FOR THE GOLD: What an amazing Olympic Summer Games it was with 24-year-old Team Toyota swimmer Caeleb Dressel winning a total of five gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, including three individual wins and two relay victories. He won the men’s 100m butterfly, making the world record time of 49.45 seconds, and the men’s 50m freestyle with an Olympic record time of 21.07 seconds. Dressel was also a part of the U.S. men’s 4x100m medley relay team that captured the gold medal with a world record time of 3:26.78.

GO TEAM TOYOTA GO! Team Toyota continued to sweep up the medals at the Olympic Summer Games thanks to Simone Manuel who won her fifth Olympic medal in July. Manuel, also 24 years old, is another talented Team Toyota swimmer who picked up a bronze medal as the anchor for the USA women’s team in the 4x100m freestyle relay event. Team Toyota swimmer Michael Norman also won his first career Olympic medal – a gold – with his teammates in the men’s 4x400m relay event. The relay team’s winning time of 2:55.70 became the 18th gold and 21st medal of any type won by the USA.
