BRONZE AND BOLD: Definitely an attention-grabbing hybrid, the 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition gives a particular sleekness and flash to the 2022 Highlander. Unique to the Bronze Edition are the 18-inch bronze wheels, illuminated bronze door sills, and bronze-colored accents with two new exterior paint options – Cement, which is exclusive to Bronze Edition, and Wind Chill Pearl which is new for the entire 2022 Highlander line.

STANDARD FEATURES: Taking its cues from the popular Highlander Hybrid XLE grade, the new Bronze Edition features a wide range of unique standard features. Key features include the hands-free power liftgate, driver seat memory with 10-way power seat, rain-sensing wipers, a 1500W power outlet and a digital rearview mirror. For infotainment, there’s the standard eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker sound system, a USB media port and four USB charging ports. Buyers can upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and 11-speaker JBL sound system.

BRONZE POWERTRAIN: The 2022 Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition combines a high-efficiency 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. It will get up to an estimated 36 combined MPG rating. The small battery pack is installed under the rear seats so it does not take up any cargo or passenger space. You’ll get all the benefits of a hybrid powertrain without sacrificing much-needed cargo room. The Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The all-wheel drive system employs a separate rear-mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels when needed. When the system detects that AWD is needed, it instantly engages the rear axle without the driver even noticing. This reduces the energy needed to propel the vehicle and helps reduce fuel consumption.
