The 2022 Toyota Tundra is equipped with an incredible amount of new features. The 2022 Tundra has an all-new exterior design that is sculpted and rugged. Under that well-designed hood is a choice of two new powertrains. The standard engine is an i-Force 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine returns fuel economy numbers of up to 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. This is a vast improvement from the previous generation. The Tundra is available in either rear-wheel drive or 4×4 and every Tundra comes equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2022 Toyota Tundra can tow up to 12,000 pounds with this engine and have a maximum payload capacity of 1,940 pounds. There is also an i-Force Max hybrid version of that same twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 437 horsepower and a monstrous 583 lb.-ft. of torque. You can also choose between Double Cab and Crew Cab configurations with either a 5.5-foot or 6.5-foot bed length.
The 2022 Toyota Tundra comes in six different grades, also known astrim levels. These include SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, and TRD Pro. Within those trim levels are two packages to make the Tundra more stylish on the street or more capable off-road. The TRD Sport and TRD Off-Road packages will be available on select models. More on that in a minute!

The standard configuration is the double cab with four doors and a six-and-a-half-foot bed.
