The 2021 Toyota Camry is equipped with a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine as standard. For more power, the available 3.5-liter V6 engine offers hefty 301 horsepower. The 2021 Camry Hybrid is equipped with a 2.5-liter hybrid engine that produces a net power output of 208 horsepower. As for the Camry transmission, both gas engines are paired with a Direct Shift 8-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission, while the hybrid engine is paired with the Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT).
The new 2021 Camry is available in 17 different configurations and 12 trim levels: XSE V6, TRD, L, LE, XLE, XLE V6, SE, SE Nightshade Edition, XSE, Hybrid LE, Hybrid SE and Hybrid XLE! The luxurious LE and XLE trim levels offer a new front fascia with a defined lower intake area that differentiates them from the sportier SE and XSE trims, while the SE and XSE trims offer a new honeycomb style grille and side vent inserts.
As for exterior colors, the Camry has an expanded color palette, adding “Blueprint” (a deep royal blue) and an exclusive color for the TRD: “Ice Edge” (an icy silver hue) with a two-tone Midnight Black Metallic roof.
The XSE Hybrid brings a redesigned front fascia and new gloss-black 19-inch wheels. It uses the fuel-efficient Toyota Hybrid System (THS II), which is engineered to provide energized performance. The XSE Hybrid also offers the two-tone Supersonic Red with Midnight Black Metallic roof combination. Interior features include a floating multimedia screen and for 2021, the Camry is one of the first Toyota models to feature Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, the next installment of Toyota’s suite of advanced safety features. A number of Toyota’s safety features have been enhanced and improved for Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, including the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beams, Road Sign Assist and more. Additionally, Toyota’s Rear Seat Reminder will come standard on all 2021 Camry models. The Rear Seat Reminder provides drivers with a reminder message on the instrument cluster after the engine is turned off and multiple audible alerts to remind them of their rear-seat passengers.
