What engine does the 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid have? The Highlander Hybrid is equipped with the 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motors nets the Highlander the equivalent of 240 total system horsepower, plus an estimated 34 mpg combined, available in two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
