The Toyota family gets 11 J.D. Power and Associates Awards for 2008
Good news for Toyota owners! Toyota and Lexus vehicles have received 11 segment awards out of a probable 19 in the 2008 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability StudySM (VDS), for the third year in a row. The Toyota family has won the highest number of awards beating other competitors. Lexus has won six segment awards and Toyota gets five awards in the study. The 2008 J.D. Power and Associates VDS award winners in various segments are: Toyota Prius (compact car), Toyota Highlander (midsize MAV), Toyota Sequoia (large MAV), Toyota Tundra (large pickup), Toyota RAV4 (compact MAV), Lexus IS 300/IS 300 SportCross (entry premium), Lexus ES 300 (midsize premium), Lexus GX 470 (midsize premium MAV), Lexus SC 430 (premium sporty), Lexus LS 430 (large premium) and Lexus LX 470 (large premium MAV). The VDS study is based on the number and type of problems car owners have had in the last three years. The main focus of this year's study was from the 2005 model year on.
